Frontier Girls Troop 114

Raising women of honor to be the mothers and leaders of the future, through life skills, leadership, character building, teamwork and service to others.

There was once a time when the educational theory for girls was based on the fact that a woman’s place was in the home; her education and abilities were carefully centered around present and future homemaking activities. Then the pendulum swung the other direction as women battled for equal rights within the work place. Simply being a homemaker was suddenly considered a lowly position. Frontier Girls recognizes not only the ability of women to excel in the career of their choice, but more importantly the continued need for strong and loving mothers in the home. As long as women bear the children and influence their early years, as long as the children and men of her family love and respect her, they are the most potent force in developing the kind of world and the kind of community in which we wish to live.

We are sending packages to the female troops serving our country. This holiday we almost filled five boxes! If you would like to contribute just give ONM_GUY a tweet. You can learn more about us at www.frontiergirls.com.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Holiday Lights

Here are some of the lights at the Garden. I was a wonderful place to take the family! There was a Santa, hot chocolate, piano player, model train and a area for children to make figurines out of acorns!

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

Went with familly and friends to see the holiday lights and it was beautiful. It is amazing that there is still beautiful flowers blooming at this time of the year. They have many sites to see: Orchid Tree, Model Railroad, Tree of light, Ice Kingdom, Toy Soldiers, and much more. It is a great place to take the family.
